Phi Gamma Delta was founded in 1848 at Jefferson College. Today, Phi Gamma Delta has grown to become one of the nation's premier fraternities with chapters active on over 116 campuses.

The Nu Omega chapter is renowned across the University for its tradition of excellence. Founded on a snowy December night in 1916, Nu Omega has to its credit four Orien B. Cheney Cups and countless other University and International Fraternity awards. Our tradition has been passed down by subsequent generations of brothers, and is as strong today as ever.

Our fraternity is built on five pillars - Friendship, Knowledge, Service, Morality, and Excellence; these are the basis and strength of our brotherhood. We seek excellence in scholarship, involvement, and intramurals.

The charge passed by our founding brothers, “Long May Our Delta Reign,” has not been forgotten. Excellence is defined as “The fact or state of achievement or excellence in one’s endeavors.” Excellence is our tradition, and a thorough examination will show that we attain it in all of our efforts.

Our history is founded on a strong social schedule, and that tradition has not been lost. Phi Gam’s enjoy what is perhaps the strongest social calendar at University. Game-day tailgates, formal date parties, the traditional OU-Texas date party in Dallas, themed parties, and of course – the famous FIJI Island, a party which has no equal.

Phi Gam’s are known across the University as Gentlemen. We seek to promote a higher standard for others to follow, and in this, much like all else, we are second to none. We are “Gentlemen of Quality.”

Above all else, Phi Gamma Delta is Tradition and Pride.
